Terms
Using Syntene means you accept these terms. They are short on purpose and written to be read once. They cover the brand site (syntene.com) and Syntene Learn (learn.syntene.com), which also has its own Terms of Service.
What Syntene is
Syntene provides free study tools for students, currently SAT Math practice at learn.syntene.com. You practice questions, get instant step-by-step feedback, and can take timed modules that follow test-day rules. The core practice is free and does not require an account.
Syntene is an independent study tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the College Board. SAT is a trademark of the College Board.
Accounts and your device
- Practice works with an anonymous device id stored in your browser. You do not need to give us your name or email.
- Google sign-in is optional and exists only to keep your progress across devices. You must be at least 13 to create an account or sign in.
- You are responsible for your device and browser. Clearing browser data can remove progress that was not linked to an account.
Fair use
- Use the practice for your own study. Do not scrape, bulk-download, resell or republish the questions.
- Do not abuse the service, attempt to break it, or use it to misrepresent your results to anyone.
- We may rate-limit or block traffic that harms the experience for everyone else.
Content and ownership
Questions, explanations, structure and the Syntene name and logo belong to us. You may quote a question for teaching, review or commentary with a link back to Syntene. You may not copy the question bank or offer it as your own product.
The AI tutor
Syntene Learn includes Chiron, an AI tutor that explains a question you have already answered. It is grounded in the stored worked solution, but AI can still be wrong. Treat its reply as a study aid, not a verified source, and if it disagrees with the worked solution, trust the worked solution and report it.
Results and estimates
Scores, estimates and mastery views are practice tools, not official results. They are meant to guide your studying. They are not a prediction or a guarantee of any score on any official test, and they are not advice of any professional kind. If an estimate and a real exam disagree, the real exam is the one that counts.
No warranty
Syntene is provided as is, without guarantees. We work to keep questions accurate and the service available, but we do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or that every question is free of errors. If you find a mistake, write to hello@syntene.com and we will fix it.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Syntene is not liable for decisions you make based on practice results, or for indirect or consequential losses from using the service. Our tools are free, and our total liability is limited accordingly.
Third-party services
Syntene Learn embeds a graphing calculator provided by Desmos, uses Google for optional login, sends tutor questions to an AI service provider, and links to YouTube. Those services have their own terms and policies.
Termination
You can stop using Syntene at any time and delete your data as described in the Privacy page. We may suspend access if these terms are broken or if the service is abused.
Changes
These terms may update as features ship. The version on this page is the current one, and continued use means acceptance.
