Privacy
Short version: the practice works without an account, we show no ads, we run no tracking across other sites, and we never sell data. This page explains exactly what is stored and how to delete it.
What this website stores
The page you are reading is a static site. It has no forms, no accounts and no cookies. It does not collect anything about you. Our hosting provider may keep basic request logs (IP address, time, page) for security and abuse prevention, as any web host does.
Syntene Learn, the SAT Math app
The practice app lives at learn.syntene.com. Here is everything it stores:
- An anonymous device id. When you open the app for the first time, it creates a random id in your browser and sends it with your practice so your progress, streaks and history stay yours. It is not your name, email or phone number.
- Your practice records. Questions you answered, whether you got them right, timing and your mastery by topic. This powers your own progress view and the step-by-step feedback.
- Local settings. Things like dark mode, motion preferences and your in-app options stay in your browser.
- Google sign-in, only if you choose it. Signing in is optional. If you do, we receive your basic Google profile (name, email, profile picture) and link it to a Syntene user so your progress follows you to another device. If you never sign in, none of this is collected.
- A session cookie when signed in. One cookie, HttpOnly, used only to keep you logged in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.
What we do not do
- No selling data, no data brokers, no sharing with advertisers.
- No ads and no third-party trackers that follow you across sites.
- No collecting answers to sell as study material. Your mistakes are yours.
- No email required, no phone number, no payment details for the free practice.
Your choices and deleting your data
- Without an account: clear this site's data in your browser settings and your device id and progress are gone.
- With a Google account: you can ask us to delete your account and all linked practice records. Email hello@syntene.com from the same address and we will remove it.
- Questions or corrections: write to hello@syntene.com. A human answers.
Where data lives
Practice data is stored on our database hosted on Cloudflare's network and served over HTTPS. We use it to run the product: your progress, scoring, and abuse prevention. We do not use it for advertising.
Children
The tools are built for high-school study and are not directed at children under 13. If you are under 13, please use Syntene with a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
If what we store changes, this page changes first. The date below always reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
